- Jaze Baqti - Justice Has A Pryce -
Introducing young French beatmaker Jaze Baqti. He started producing music around two years ago, in the small town of Le Mans, releasing a few beat-tapes as well as two projects on which he provided the instrumental backdrop: to a New York lyricist by the name of Priest and a spoken word artist called Writer Jones.
He recently joined Cosmonostro (a record label / music collective based in the north of the hexagon) and is currently traveling the world, producing an album along the way. The project is called "Tangata" which means "people" in Maori and already features two tracks. "Mason Street Blues" was the first jam he produced in San Francisco. "Justice Has A Pryce" is the second extract, which really caught our attention when we first heard it. A smooth Jazz sampling number with a twist.
"The project is like a travel diary, with sounds instead of words" explains Jaze Baqti. Well we sure look forward to hearing the next tracks and the project as a whole in the near future.
