Over the past year, London boy Only Real has been consistently putting out material, song by song, and has started building up a nice little sound of his own. The comparisons with Jamie-T and King Krule persist, but for me, the major influence that resonates in his music is that of the Stones Roses. Especially in the hazy instrumentation, hard hitting drums, echoed vocal harmonies and that swagger full chitter chatter flow, which cements him firmly in the modern day.
