Introducing Marlais, a mysterious Berlin based artist who recently caught our attention with his latest offering. "Love Is Teasin" is a smooth psychedelic ride, with echoing vocal samples and claps a'plenty to guide you along the way. The impeccable production fuses the various layers of the track into one solid gem, which leaves you discovering more after every listen.
Whilst chatting briefly to Marlais, he explains the moniker was taken from Welsh writer Dylan Thomas (his middle name), whom he greatly admires. When diving deeper into his music, he explains: "I'm interested in the line between euphoria and melancholy and I try to get a balance of the two". We then ask him what his plans are for the coming year: "I am just hoping to make music. I would love to get a bigger body of work together, rather than just posting individual songs. At some point too, I would love to play live. I just need to figure out how I am going to present the music."
