The monthy selection of french indie enthusiasts Balades Sonores is always a good starting point when searching for new gems. Introducing "As You Lay To Die", the first EP from Le Mépris, a side-project by Neïmo's frontman and guitarist.
4 tracks taking sharp cold guitar chords from The Jesus And Mary Chain (notably on title track "As You Lay To Die") or what late 80's pop made of best; roomy nonchalant electro acoustic songs such as the standout track from the record,"Wild Horses" and its undeniable The Go-Betweens influences.
