- Unemployment - Work -
It's never good to be greedy when enjoying Unemployment. You don't just gobble up drops of precious liquor like you would pints of a your every day lager.
With only 3 songs under his belt, Bertrand Blanchard doesn't always focus on providing us with food for our ears. Let's start by stating that the guy isn't as unemployed as he let's believe: check out the flawless posters he designs as Hello.L.A. and you'll realise that he's definitely not into wasting his time. But sometimes, he does. Now and then, Unemployment wakes up and shakes you in its own way. This quite unique mix of spoken word, raw synths and lo-fi beats may remind you of Otem Rellik or Canadian rapper Soso but the bitterness of his last effort "Words" slaps you in such a thrilling, passive-agressive tension that you'll press the play button again and again just to try and comprehend it.
